We went to a drive-in movie this evening, along with another family, and saw Kung Fu Panda 2. It was my first time at a drive-in. We got there at least a half-hour before the movie began (had to wait for dusk/sunset) and the movie was 'broadcast' on AM radio. I say broadcast because they had a wire to attach to the antenna.
It was a double feature, but we didn't stay for the second part as we were quite tired and didn't know if Thor would be appropriate for the kids.
I also went out and got a flag this morning. My 6-year old essentially said, "Dad, why don't we have an American flag up because it's Memorial Day and people have flags up on Memorial Day?"
After that project, my 8-year old and I played 'Wrath of Ashardalon', a D&D boardgame. He enjoyed it enough that he wants us to do it tomorrow, so we'll see.
I'm hoping to put up blinds in the living room. We've had some 'temporary' paper blinds up for 4 years?!? While I'd like some fancy blinds, I'm going to settle for some cheap ones. Then I'll be able to look outside when I want.
