July 4th

Yesterday evening, we went to Crossroads to eat to escape the heat and prevent us from having to think of menus. We ran into JJ's old boss and I ran into a former colleague. The mall was quite busy with a July 4th celebration.

Then last night, I walked to my new place of work from home. It took me about 20 minutes at a brisk walking pace. I was thinking of doing the same tonight with Alex, but I'm feeling a little too tired and dehydrated right now.

We (family) spent the day at some friends. We had lunch and talked while the kids splashed in the water, rode bikes / scooters /etc, and played toys.

I had trouble drinking enough given the heat and keeping up with the kids. Elizabeth and JJ are taking naps and I just gave the boys dinner.

I imagine I'll hear lots of firecrackers, tonight. I don't think they are legal, but people have them.
