I've been stripping the paint off our garage door for the last week. I took a break for a while because I got sick -- I think allergies led to a sinus infection. I did a bunch of sanding today and it is looking a lot nicer.
Based on the layers of paint on the garage door and elsewhere, I'm guessing the house has two coats of paint; the original and then a later one. The house is over 50 years old. We'll paint the house some other time, but the garage door looked in need of a new coat.
I also took out a bicycle my wife had been given and got it in working condition. Since my new work is a mile from home (with a fairly gentle incline), I'm considering riding when I can.
However, I'm not going to be wearing special clothes and the sprockets at the pedal will mess up my pant leg. So I'm now looking for a guard of some sort to protect me.
