Visited Whistler

My wife's parents have a time share in Whistler (BC, Canada) that they couldn't use this year -- so we did. We left late Friday afternoon -- my company was having a shareholder meeting that I needed to attend. We left our home about 3:15pm and had heavy traffic the first few hours. We got to the US/CA border before sunset and there was only one or two cars ahead of us in line -- the last time I went through the border was a few years ago and I we had to wait almost two hours then. We made one wrong turn -- 1a is *not* the same as 1. Most of the drive in Canada was in the dark which wasn't particularly present -- this was the first time I had driven. We got to Whistler around 10:30pm and were in our room at 11. The kids did quite well on the drive. We didn't do much this year -- there is no snow and I wasn't going to ride a bike down a mountain. And having a 4yr and 2yr doesn't really make things easy. We left Whistler this morning at 10am and were home around 3:30pm. Around 220 miles one way. I used a quarter tank less of gas coming home because we were going downhill so much. We might be going again at Thanksgiving.
